Fine Print Matters
FREE Baggage weight limits have changed.
The maximum weight limit is down to 40 pounds for most airlines and the fees have GONE UP!
Also, most airports have gone Cashless. Bring credit cards or be prepared to use your pay apps on your phone.
Airline fares have gone up dramatically for the anticipated summer travel rush, so purchase your tickets as soon as possible. There are payment plans if needed.
Read the fine print. If a price is reasonable, it is quite possible that the price DOES NOT include a free carry-on luggage, nor will it include your seat assignments. Prices for good seats have also gone up.
Additional fees for seats and carry-ons will increase your trip by approximately 60 dollars.
In addition, the lowest prices usually mean :
Non-refundable/non-changeable
Refundable within a certain time frame, but returned as air travel credit for future flights. Not as cash and not credited to the card you used.
So check the fine print, usually located at the bottom of your fare break-down, to see if the refund will go back to your original form of payment or if it will be set into the system under your account as a future trip credit. If you don’t receive your money back it could prevent your affordability to choose another flight, another time on another carrier.
You might want to look into travelers insurance as well to be assured a reimbursement. And, there again, is a cost associated with that. Happy Traveling.
