The Smart Packing Lady

A Splash of Color

While on a trip, of any kind, you’ll want to look your best. If you are on a vacation/leisure trip then there will probably be photos with memories to share.

So you, the sophisticated sharp dressed lady, will want her nails to be in tip-top shape. So yes, you can go get a nice manicure or your artificial nails, but, what if they chip while away? Ugh! Will you take along the items necessary to repair? Do you want to take nail polish or nail polish remover? NO WAY!! Curses.. what if they leaked or the bottles broke enroute? OYE the mess! The smell. RUINED.

No Messy, Sticky, Smelly Liquids

(photo compliments FREEPIK)

In a foreign, non-English speaking country, will you make an appointment and take time out of your sightseeing schedule for a nail repair?

Well, no more worries.

I came across the best thing that I’ve found in a long time and I want to share it with you, the smart packing, travel savvy woman.

Drum Roll Please….

COLORSTREET NAILS-

From the 50’s/60’s can you remember those color form boards we played with? Similar to paper dolls? Those vinyl peel and stick dresses and lacy socks??

Well, this is what ColorStreet is all about in my opinion. NO MESS.

They peel right off the package and right onto your nails. You may have to trim, and use the stick (included in package) to press on. But I swear they look great and they last 10 days - up to 2 weeks.  With Colorstreet, if your nail gets a chip and creates snagging, you simply file it with an emery board as you would your regular nail.

COLORSTREET NAIL PACKAGES

COLORSTREET NAIL PACKAGES

While they stick right on, Weirdly, they do not peel off during everyday wear. They won’t pop off like an acrylic and don’t lift at the nail base like a gel. I have never found one floating in my soup!

Yet, then they are easy to remove. I can’t explain it.  They come with a small sealed polish remover soaked cotton pad, making the process pretty simple.

Flat package for super easy packing, takes up no room. Many colors to choose from and if you are conservative in your application and you don’t have huge, long nails, then one pack should make for 2 applications.  You can get real funky and put a couple of different colors on your hand and/or you can trim different colors into shapes and put one on top of the other. FUN!  They don’t damage your nails either like the artificial or gels.

Interestingly, by watching demonstrations on YouTube, I’ve found alternative, fairly simple ways to remove them besides the pre-packaged remover pads.  So check the videos out, too.

Honestly, They don’t chip or peel. If you should break a nail while wearing Colorstreet, (and I have), you can use the tiny emery board that comes with each package, and just file it down. I just find them perfect for my shorter trips, 2 weeks or less.

I just can’t say enough about them. Take it from someone who knows. They are tried and true. No Mess, No Odor.

If you can’t find a Colorstreet distributor, let me know and I will connect you with mine, Laura Baker.

Average cost approx.: $11-14 per package, Cheaper than a manicure , fills or full set and so worth it.
